MY APPROACH

What does it mean to be wiser?

As we develop through our careers, we get better at our jobs, but are we becoming wiser? I believe this depends on our capacity to apply our knowledge, build on our experience and cultivate self-awareness.

These are qualities you can work on.

And that’s where I come in.

My coaching is dedicated to working alongside you to give you or your team the tools and motivation for change and growth.

This starts with deep enquiry. It requires being open-minded and embracing new perspectives. Being aware of the complexity of your organisation and the part that you play in shaping its culture. Assessing evolving situations and creating trust, clarity and momentum to bring a team with you and thrive through change.

I will challenge you to explore what you care about and what gives purpose to your work. What are your unique strengths and what gets in the way? Cultivating this wisdom acts as a backdrop for our work. Examples of where I can provide support could be re-defining your working life, making a role transition, developing resilience, setting strategy, advocating for yourself and others or building a flourishing team.

I bring both the latest thinking on human behaviour and the rich experience gained from across a wide spectrum of organisations - large and small – from sectors including government, finance, insurance, communications, technology and the arts.

WHAT IS WISDOM?

Wisdom is an endlessly fascinating concept and in part because of how difficult it is to define. Words sometimes don’t seem to be enough to fully explain a concept that brings together experience, knowledge, self-reflection and good judgement to help people live their lives in a more conscious and fulfilling way.

I asked some of my clients to reflect on what wisdom is; how to cultivate it to make better decisions; and how to build wise relationships in their working lives. It was fascinating to hear the range of answers – which they share in this short video.
